Howdy Folks!

Just wanted to say hello as I just found this website today. We have a 1948 Super Deluxe club coupe that I bought in 1970 and still drive.

I retired from a long career in auto repair April 2013, and looking forward to doing some updating on the car, enjoying grandkids, and just generally NOT GOING TO WORK!

Welcome to the ranks of the happily retired and also to the Fordbarn!

Hope to get to know some of you better. I also hope I'm in good company since this car has been updated. Blew up the flathead driving to Vegas in 1972, now has a 302/C4/9" diff., disc brakes, power steering. Well most of that has been in there a while.

Made the mistake of having a machine shop build a 59AB for me, always overheated. But made it to Detroit for the 1972 Street Rod Nationals in flathead trim! I have built all my own motors since that flathead.

Welcome to the Ford Barn!! What a great place to spend time, and meet lots of other folks who love to drive their flatheads as much as possible. I can't wait until two more years when I can retire, and finally get to play with the rest of these guys!!
If you can't drive them, they're just big paperweights anyhow!! Got some friends out in Loveland, and one day maybe I can drive my 35 out west to see them!!
