How to strip paint off a radiator

Anyone know a good way to remove paint from the radiator fins. There are several coats of old and new paint on my radiator and I would like to remove. I think I read somewhere that to much paint will have any effect on the cooling. And there are no radiator shops around my area that strip radiators.

I've thought about that, but getting it deep down into the fins. But most likely that will be what I will try, thanks

Easy-Off oven cleaner works great for paint stripping. I find the spray on application easier than standard paint strippers. Also somewhat less noxious fumes -- not to say those aren't noxious fumes! Perhaps you could spray one side with some Easy-Off, let it work for a bit, brush it carefully with a toothbrush or soft bronze brush, then use water or compressed air from the opposite side to blow the residue to the outside of the core, rather than driving it into the core. My .02 cents.

Put it in a large plastic bag. Spray Easy Off oven cleaner on it, tie a know in the bag and let it sit all day, then hose it off with hot water. Works great on oven racks etc and I don't see why it would not work on the radiator.
