I would like to remove the round sleeve that is under the handle on my 35 trunk handle to replate. It's the part of the handle that wears down to the brass. It looks like all I would need to do is grind off each corner of the square shaft that is kind of pinched. It looks like if the corners were grind off the round plate and sleeve would come off. Correct.
