How to remove the Coil

So I took the two bolts attaching the bracket to the fire wall but I can't get the Bracket off the coil. Is it glued or something? I tried to spread the bracket with a pry bar but no luck.

Some of the brackets are semi-permanently attached to the coil by welding. You will destroy the bracket by trying to peel it off the coil. Order a separate coil bracket or go back to your local Model A parts supplier and buy one. Maybe even a modern bracket purchased from an auto parts store will work.

Look carefully at the bracket, you may be able to see some spot welds, which will tell you that it's not meant to come apart.

The bracket was permanently fixed to the original A-12000 Ignition Coil.
