how to hotwire my A?

Finally I'm ready to start my A,it's only been since 1983 , no body yet but that's for another day. I want to start it now check everything, How do I wire it?

When I started a friend's engine for the first time, He didn't have anything to screw into the distributor, so I used a cork and nail. Connect the wire from the distributor to one side of the coil primary terminal and connect the negative from the 6 volt battery to the other coil primary terminal, just as IrishHills shows in the diagram above.

Be sure to wire the generator into the system.

Be sure to wire the generator into the system.

GOOD POINT. The generator needs to be wired in to the battery, or if it isn't you could also ground the generator output terminal to keep the generator from burning itself up.
