How to get the horn button wire out?

I want to nickle plate the light switch on a '29, but I don't see how the wire comes out. It is tight against the bottom of the tube, and the top has a bakelight cup looking thing. Thanks experts.

Greg, you will have to unsolder the wire at the bottom of the rod. Once done it will slide out. The trick is soldering it back correctly.
