How to adjust door latch

My passenger door comes unlatched from the strike plate, but latches on the door frame. I have tried adjusting the striker plate all the way in and out and in between, but it still come unlatched. Can anyone help?

I put shims [washers]behind my striker plate and it works fine

I had the same problem with my '30 CCPU.
It wasn't the strike adjustment on mine. It was that I had not properly shimed the body. The door was not parallel with the top of the opening and the belt molding did not allign. Shiming the body to align the top and beltrail, solved the problem, and the door now latches correctly.
