How do you greese water pump?

Wondering about greasing the water pump that came with my coupe. The front fitting is obviously a dummy. The rear is more of a plug. Does this look like it's totally greaseless?

Appears to be one of the "no grease" pumps.

I'm wondering why the head gasket hangs out so much?:confused:
 
Not sure if the gasket sticking out is a issue? It is a Snyder's copper gasket coated with copper sealant under a Snyder's 5.5 head. It just today developed a leak rear of the water inlet after about 50 miles.

Jerry: Nice hose clamps. I started using those a number of years ago, and now pretty much everyone in our club has them.
