How Do U Store/Find

Stuff in another one of my parts buildings.

I have a large steamer trunk size wooden box. Whatever I can store in there is all I have left. I have several "A" 21 " rims and a few '33 17" rims in my shed outside that are too clean to let go, that's it!!!! I had a nice 28 gas tank with date stamp 6-12-28 and sold it and have felt stupid ever since.

I usually regret getting rid of anything model A. I let the flatheads and Indian motor cycles slip through my hands with nothing to show for them. I don't plan for that to happen with my model A stuff.

Purdy-you are the man! I know what you mean about letting stuff go. Seems about a year after I part with something I find an urgent need for it. I am not as bad a hoarder as my Dad who grew up in the depression, but darn close.

Yea when my grandparents had to go to a retirement home and leave the farm (grandpa has Alzheimers) it was 2 roll off dumpers full of scrap. i mean pure scrap...i counted 14 kitchen sink flaucets in various conditions assumed all leaked haha, parts of plows, etc. trust me i was watching like a hawk and told all that was helping if they come across anything car or engine or tractor related let me know. didnt find much but old license plates and 2 spot lights. so many metal buckets mostly rusted out and homeade brackets and attachment jigs to who knows what. got 2 crates of old glass jars, huge stack of licenseplates, and an old roll around cabinet with all sorts of old manuals i still have to search thru...

I use ziplocks, totes, and shelving. All arranged to follow the parts book. I keep blown up copies of the parts book page on each shelf.
