How do the rumble seat springs mount?

Bought replacement rumble spring bottom and back from Mac's and not sure how they install. The old springs were missing when I got the car, so I'm stumped. Can anyone guide me how the rumble seat bottom and back springs are installed? I don't see the slots the back is supposed to hang from, and I feel like I'm missing something. The rumble lid and cavity appear stock otherwise...

Thanks all.

On the inside of the lid there are two brackets that the spring goes over and holds the top of the spring. Yours must be missing. Look for two holes on each corner of the lid. On the bottom of the back seat spring there are two flat metal brackets with one hole for a bolt. On the bottom spring in front there is two pins made out of sheet metal about 3/4 of an inch that the spring fits over........... Hope that helps...Larry

For 1932 3 Window and 1933-39 33 Roadster's post is correct. On 1932 roadster/cabriolet/5window there should be two tabs on the top of the spring that slip into slots in the deck lid, and a tab on the bottom for a machine screw to go into a "D" nut in the deck lid.

The two brackets(posts) that Larry mentioned can be bought from Macs Ford parts. There should be an indention in the floor pan to help you align them correctly. You can measure for their location by placing the bottom spring on the rumble floor and marking the spots. Pop riveting or bolting them to the floor either one works well. Also the metal wire that forms the hole for the post to fit on is flexible that you can bend and tweak it to make it fit the post after you have mounted them. I hope this helps you! Tom
