Hi all,

I just picked up a set of mid-late 30's rims. (I think?) Any way to date these? Or were they all the same?

Thanks,
Banky

I just looked, didn't see anything? One had two "-1" 's on it.

I am supposed to look on the back side of the middle section right?

Thanks for your help!

A ride in an old Ford to get some Ice cream always worked for me :D

BTW I am going to looks at one of my wheels right now to help

I just looked at 3 wide five wheels and didn't see any date stamps ? I am no help except for being a smart a$$ . Sorry .

Start with are they wire or solid? What is the diameter measuring where the tire bead rests (18, 17, 16?)? Is the bolt pattern 5 on 5 1/2 or 5 on 10 1/4? What about some photos?

These are 'wide fives' that were mounted on an all original '38 chassis I'm using. Looks like the date code is 10 - 11- 37

This is on the FRONT side

Sorry it took so long...working on commercial breaks during Am Idol LOL

They are wires, 5 on 5.5. Not wide fives, their the kind with the stainless center caps. Like a pot in the center. Sorry I don't have picts yet.

Measure the diameter where the tire bead sits. 18 inch is '32, 17 inch is '33-'34 and 16 inch is '35.

Hi,
most of the wheels from my 41 were dated, not all.

The real question is;

why did ford date any of his wheels
