how disconnect throttle rod

back in my day these were spring loaded and eassily disconnected.
don't know why but can't get any disconnected by hand. Help an old turkey..

If it still has the original style rods whether they be original or aftermarket they're still spring loaded and you just pull the end and lift out but if the ends aren't sliding then they're stuck and just need some penetrating oil, I had one same way on 29 Tudor sedan few weeks ago but it had been sitting outside and was kinda rusty
