Hotter spark plugs?

What is a good hotter plug for my 53 mercury flathead, stock with chevy rochester 2 barrel carb? I am running autolite 216 now.

Most of the manufacturers have quit making "hotter" plugs. The best you can normally do is one range higher. If your having a "fouling" problem, their going to recommend a "anti fouler" that you thread the plug into. A good parts man, if he's willing to take the time, can look up the different heat ranges and possibly come up with a plug that matches the size of what your using. Good luck...

I wasn't having any luck with 216's , I changed to B4L's. Seems better. Do some reasearch on "sparkplugs.com" if you want. The website will give you all the details on available plugs.
