Hot Rod Friends

It's nice, that if we can't compete with the prices the hot rodders are paying for cars, that we get their leftovers. By the way, all this stuff is AR from a Tudor CA 44xx, in great shape. All four drums have less than 0.020" wear. Transmission looks good, flywheel is excellant but needs a new ring gear. By the way, this is the first time I have seen "Made in Canada" 21" Goodyears.

Jim, excellent pick up! Just out of curiosity, was this a swap meet 'find', Canadian Craigslist, or in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time(pardon the hyphen abuse)?

No, it's just a hotrod friend that once or twice a year has to clean up around his place. Over the years he has been a great source for for some great stuff. Most of the stuff he dosn't want is the hard to find rare goodies. Last year got I two B carbs, two distributers, and a fuel pump with a rebuild kit. He spends a lot time touring the backroads of Western Canada and really does a nice job of what he works on. Told me today he has a Riley two port overhead valve set-up, thats why he kept the motor.

Jim Parker:

The multi-disk flywheel you have is in excellent condition. I enlarged the photo and could see no grooves worn into the ridges. Pure gold for someone who wants to put a multi-disk clutch assembly in their car. Most have deep grooves worn into them.

Yes, it is in near perfect condition, and it is available if someone needs it! I am running one in my Roadster right now and have done over 10,000 miles without even adjusting it. I find it very smooth!
