Horn

Hi Guys,
Since cold weather is probably going to keep me in the house at least part of the winter months - I need to go through this horn I picked up.
I can't find ANY name or ID tag on it anywhere
Where can I look (reference wise) to try to figure out if I have a rebuildable item, or if this is a "look-a-like", (as in JC Whitney, Rick's, or ??)
It looks like a Spartan, but there are no tags, holes for tags, or any kind of stamping on the body or the rear cover.
Thanks everyone, Merry Christmas

Can you post a picture of the horn? Look very carefully around the flange and if it's a genuine Model A horn you might find "Stewart Warner". If it's been repainted you may have to do some scraping to bring out the name. If you are going to sandblast and restore the horn be sure you don't blast the diaphram, as it warps quite easily.

Thanks Tom,
Mine does have the adjustment on the back, I never bothered to look around the flange - I was just looking at the cover and looking for a mfg plate like some I've seen
I'll see if I can get a picture loaded

Dug the horn out from under the bench this morning - I don't know what I thought I was looking at - the adjuster on mine is in the front, through the projector. It also has a two piece cap with about a 3/8" hole for the wires rather than a solid cap
No name or ID stampings of any kind, likely JC Whitney junk, huh?

My 29 Tudor came with a chrome JC Whitney 6 volt horn, but the horn had excellent sound and the chrome was good. I sold it on ebay for just over $100 and bought a Model A horn for less at a swap meet.
