Horn wont blow

OK, Just recently I was talked into going from a 6 volt to a 12 volt set-up on my 30 PU. I know I may get slammed by many for this move, but that ship has sailed. Now, my horn will not blow at all. Worked perfect before. I installed a voltage reducer but not a peep from horn. Lights and everything else works great.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of valid reasons for converting a Model A to 12-volts.

If the horn worked before my thought is that the dropping resister is open or you have a poor connection. Temporarily remove the two wires to the horn and connect a wire to ground from one of the two terminals. Attach another wire to your 12-volt battery power and touch it to the other terminal. If the horn motor spins the horn should work. The full 12-volts won't hurt the horn for the test.
