We had new brushes put In 1929 model A Horn. When you hook up the wires and press the horn button the motor spins and doesn't stop . Any help in what direction to go in would help. The button doesn't feel like it stuck . Could it be an issue with ground or dirty connector at bottom of the steering colum

If'n the motor is spinning it's not a ground problem, it sounds like the wobble disk isn't hitting the diaphram.

Sounds as if you have an "unwanted" ground, in the wire from the horn to the button. What do you have to do to stop it from spinning?

use a testlight or volt meter to ck your horn leads... the yellow wire has voltage at all times ,... blue / yellow grounds when pressing the horn button...

We took it back to the shop that put the brushes in They say one of the brushes should be insulated and are correcting that. Does tat sound correct .

Both brush holders should have insulator washers under them. If the insulator is missing on the brush holder leading to the connector board, the motor will continue to run.

Yes, as Mag said both brushes need the insulators. Each brush holder has a flat fiber washer between the holder and motor frame, and a cone shaped fiber washer under the brush holder screw head.
