Horn activates with light switch

With lights on bright the horn honks. On dim it does not but will if I turn hard to the right. I'll have to chase this down tomorrow unless any of you guys have advise on what caused this.

Look for a loose fitting horn contact in the contact plate, or some loose or frayed wires allowing the horn wires to touch the light terminals.

On my car the horn wire actually came off the switch and was making contact with pretty much everything in the housing.Check to make sure the spider clip is not off.Ray

I had the same happen, the horn spring contact in the middle of the wiring harness contact plate wobbled a bit ,( or, with repro parts, the hole in the upper switch rotating plate is smaller), and shorted out on the upper switch.plate. I cut a piece of shrink tubing the length of the spring contact and shrunk it over the spring so only the very end of the horn contact is clear.

Thank you Tom, Ray, and Ray!! I fixed my horn/light switch problem. I appreciate your kind replies. I used Ray in Mesa suggestion with the shrink tubing. Great idea!!
