Can anyone ID this part? It has a Ford tag on it and I think the prefix is "B"... I think. It's small as you can see, kind of "cute". Thanks guys!

I have one that looks like that. I'll have to check the measurements. The one I have is from a 47 coupe seat. It holds the backrest in the up position. Fits in the center of the backrest unlike the 40 that has the slide bar over on the pass side.

I have a 47 business coupe and I think Ken is correct. I had the thought where in the heck would you find that part if it went bad. Now I know there might be two spares out in the Ford universe!

I was thinking since it is short, maybe on a 36 humpback trunk lid. Never thought of a seat part. It would shock me if it was a "B" part unless it was BA something.

Only guessing on the "B" as the prefix. Tag is worn and my eyes... not so good anymore.

Just want to thank everyone who offered me advice. A seat bracket/ I NEVER would have thought of that.
I appreciate the help and effort you guys...

Good question, Kube. I have a 1942 Deluxe coupe (rough) stored at my Dad's. My recollection is that the seat frame/cushions are different on it versus the 47. After
looking at the 47 I would be curious what the 41,42, and 46's used.

Mike, look in the swap meet section today and there is an ad for a 1941 Super Deluxe Coupe. He has a picture with the seat raised up. Same as the part you have?
