any one using hood support bracket from Brattons? item number22270. 29 Fordor? looking for a picture of installation and comments.

Here is another variation of the hood support. I had the same idea as Floats in post #13, but built it in differently.

The material is half inch plywood, painted and with a strip of felt glued to the hook connecting to the hood.

Works great!
