Hood rod's size & Windlace installation

Hi Guy's

I'am working on the last part's of my 30 coupe..I've forgotten what size the hood rod's are for the side pannel's ?. Are they 1/4 inch rod's ?.

Also how does the windlace go in at the top of the body ?. Is it glued in or tacked in someway..The area is where the top cover piece goes where the rubber door bumper is at the top..

It's been so long since it's been apart I don't remember !!! If somebody has a picture of this area it would be a big help...

Thank's, Greg out west

Hood rods are 1/4", and 3/8" (usually hollow) for the center.
I just got a set of the SS rods from Brattons, and they are very nice, and reasonably priced.

For Coupes and Tudors it was originally molded (extruded) rubber with covering. NOTHING else functions as well. With some thought and talent there are options such as gluing it to the steel and reinstalling the cap and door rubber.

There IS a better option if you are up for it. I believe Snyder's still has some of the molded strips you can glue the cover on and then just lip it under the cap and have a good upper door seal.
