I guess I created this monster of a post when I was originally looking for a Model A hood prop. I still wonder if a chrome one was made or do some people see shiny metal that is probably stainless and assume it is chrome? I have seen a couple that are black so mayby chrome non stainless ones are out there. Mayby this one is an early type that was a heavier gauge steel. I have seen other early Model A repros that were better and some that were really bad.

I made my own, it is dual purpose as it also is a fuel level gauge on my speedster. Took me several minutes to make!
