Hood not fitting right

I've had my 62 wagon sitting in the driveway with a canopy over it
for about 3 years... for a few months I left the hood up. I know (stupid)
but now the passenger side will not lay flat with the fender.
Has anyone delt with this problem?
Not that it would fix this problem, but has anyone gone to using a
strut instead of the springs?

you may have sprung the hinges if the rear is sticking up that's the problem if you can describe what its doing you may get a better answer you might have bent the hood also if it was hard to close
