Hood Holder

This is a picture of a hood holder that is part of the radiator. Is this original? I do not see these on any of the radiators offered for sale. Are they there and I just do not see them? Are they an option that I do not see in catalogs?

Original on 1928-1929 radiators. See the "Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards", page 3-1, first paragraph.

Thanks! I missed that line in the Standards. And I have now found where Brattons's advertises a Brass Works brand with that hood rest.

Is that hood prop incorporated into the rad or is it a bolt on piece? If so, where can a guy buy one? WOuld love to have one for my 28 Roadster!

It is a part of the radiator, not a "bolt on".

Don is correct, it is not a bolt on, but I am surprised that some of the catalogs do not add it as a piece that you could buy and have it added to an existing radiator. Just a thought.

Snyders has a hood prop kit for $9.95 that mounts at the firewall end of the hood. It is part number A-16608-X.
