Auto paint stores sell a roll of sandpaper that is applied to a sanding block to "block out" a car prior to painting. It has an adhesive applied to the back side and comes in different grits. I have a roll of the 80 grit paper. The paper would be easy to apply to the inside of the brake drum. For the rear shoes the brakes could be applied while the motor is turning the drums. This would not only arch the shoes but adjust the lining to fit any small lack of concentricity. For the front, the wheels would have to be turned by hand while the brakes were applied. Next brake job on my car I will try this.
