I would like to see any home made tools for a Model A.

Let's start off with spring spreaders

The spring spreader in the first post appears to me to be weak. The all-threads look to be either 1/2" or 3/4". The rear spring spreader I made from plans here on Fordbarn several yeas ago used 1" all-threads.

My favorite home made tools... are my "Grinder" Adjusted sockets, like the 7/8" socket that has a "thin" side for fitting on the steering adjustment, and the short 9/16" socket that can get into the front brake backing plate bolts. I have a couple special wrenches too, that have a bend or ground thinner too, this is what the extra sets of Harbor Freight sockets sets are for. Metric sockets too are a great help like the 12mm when you have 1/2" rust reduced bolt head...

Tom Wessenberg has made a ton of homemade tools. I would give a right arm for his collection. How about showing some Tom? I have copied a couple of his and they worked fantastic.

The best way to find them is to use "Search This Forum" on the red bar above,
then type in "Homemade Tools".
