holly 94 rebuild kit

Hey, I have a rebuild kit for the Holley 94. I has 2 power valves--one has a movable shaft and the other has a fixed shaft. What is the difference in the valves- I have a 1952 F1- EAB block, which one is for my carb (marked EAB)? Thanks, Jerry

Jerry,

Be aware of the fact that not all power valves for the 94 are created equal. The one you want needs to have a completely flat surface where it mates up to the bottom of the carb. Newer valves have a "raised" machined surface that won't seal properly to our old carbs and will leak.

If you're not sure what you have, post a pic or contact Sal (scicala) or CharlieNY here on the Barn.

All kinds of issues with modern power valves, from seal to fitment in the float well to opening values not correct. If you have an original or older power valve reuse it,or at the minimum save it

But what is the difference in the 2 valves provided in the repair kit? Jerry

There is only one power valve in your kit. The other similar unit is a spark valve that installs on the outside of a later Holley to control the distributor advance.
