Holley carb

I just acquired a Holley carb with the raised H on the throat of both the top and bottom halves. I think that makes it an early 28 to Sept 28. It has an integral secondary well (cast in). What are the the pros and cons of running it in a stock engine?

Standards says raised H on throat - Dec 27 to Jan 29
H on bowl is Dec 27 - Feb 28
It should also be a double venturi.

According to Steve Pargetter's excllent booklet... " for Holley manufactured carbs ...H on upper body Jan 28 to Dec 28. H on lower body Jan 28 to June 28. Integral secondary well (no brasss insert) Jan 28 to June 28. Double venturi Jan 28 to June 28, thereafter single." ., I find they run well.

You can see if it is meant for a single or double venturi by looking into the air intake end.If the two jets are in line it is for a double venturi. If they are offset from one another it is for a single.
