Holley 94 Throttle Plate Attachment

Hi Folks, have any of you ever seen Holley 94 Throttle Plates attached to the throttle shaft not with screws- but with what appears to be smooth head brass rivets?
I have 3 carbs I took apart recently with bases as shown.
Haven't tried to remove any yet, but will be replacing the throttle shafts on these with new extended shafts for a 6 deuce setup.
Assuming they are just rivets and will maybe just tap out instead of unscrewing like typical throttle plate screws- after removing the brad on the opposite side?
Wondering if maybe this is a factory original type retention thing on some years/models, or if it's an aftermarket/rebuilder thing?
I pulled several carbs apart to clean up and didn't take note of which carbs they came off but I only have Model 59s & 8BAs.
Does any one here know anything about these, or the process that was used to do it? Kinda unique and interesting to me. Thanks!

I would drill off the end of the rivet before pushing out to save any threads that may be there.

Interesting, I took several apart also and never came across brass rivets with a peened end like that either. Maybe Holley had an assembly line they were experimenting with?
