Holley 94 accelerator pumps

I have fuel running down the accelerator pump operation shaft after I turn the engine off , I’ve replaced the pump piston rubber but this hasn’t stopped it. Should the shaft have some sort of packing on it as it enters the carburettor body?

Your float check valve is not keeping the fuel level down or your carb is getting too hot with no air rushing through it after you stop the engine so the gas expands or even boils. Either will raise the level in the float bowl and cause weeping out around the pump rod and down the throat of carb as well. They make a fiber block to insulate the carb from the intake if heat is the problem.
