Have a 27 T that seems to take to long to go into high gear, like it's sliping or something, what would be the cause of this ?
Just that - the clutch plates are slipping. Could be as simple as an adjustment of the three clutch adjustment fingers (most likely) or worst case scenario, a clutch spring failure.
Just checking, when you throw it in high. do you shut the gas valve? I always do, momentarily cutting the power allows the plates to get a grip. Then gas on to resume acceleration.
Great answer.
Not to be rude, haven't driven a T that much, haven't tried letting off the gas when shifting, but will when we get the engine back in .Found the clutch out of adjustment, thanks for the help, Bill
