High Compression Head

I had been looking for a used High Compression Head, but it doesn't look like I am having any luck! Could anyone tell me where I could get a new one at a reasonable price? Looking for something around 7-1. Thanks!

I might have a brand new one you could use but it is closer to 6:1.

It is the second of the 2 new iron Winfields I just made.

7 to 1 ratio might be too much of a compression load for the stock babbit bearings to last. The 1930 head compression ratio was 4.1 to 1. I have put the new 5.5 to 1 on a couple of our model A Fords with excellent results. I paid Mac's $331 each for them.

I picked up a decent one locally for $100. It needs surfaced. Going to put it on the engine that is on the stand. Knowing the Model A people in your local area has its advantages. No clubs left in the area so it is getting harder to keep in touch with most. Rod

Reds Headers have a 7:1 aluminium Winfield head but it's $525 and from my experience may still require some machining
