I AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN A FORD AGAIN
i recently purchased a 40 ford 1/2 t. standard p/u and will be selling one of those other brand trucks to get this going. i have a new grill that came with the truck and NO other pieces between the fenders & behind the grill. does anyone know where i can find drawings of what i need in that area. how can i identify my frame as a 40 p/u. my truck didnt have a bed and i have a 50 ford bed thats so darn close but so far seems like it has to go down another 5-6 inches. id like to id the frame so i can rule it out.
THANKS ALL, IM SO HAPPY TO HAVE THIS TRUCK

Welcome to the Fordbarn. The '40 Ford pu is my favorite from the '32 to '53 Flathead years. There are many who post here who own '40-'41 1/2T pu's. I'm not sure where you would find the pictures you want but someone else can probably help you there. Look for serial numbers that should be in three places along the left top rail of the frame. One will be near the steering box mount, one is under the cab around the door, and the other under the bed at the kick up for the rear axle. The serial numbers will give you the
approximate date of manufacture for the frame/vehicle but the same serial numbers were used on both passenger cars and light duty commercial vehicles that would include 1/2T pickups.
