Hershey

Didn't seem so to me. Heavier foot traffic Thursday and Friday, but a lot of spaces were vacated by Friday.

I'm thinking of vending @ Hershey next year for the first time along with a buddy of mine. I know we need to become an AACA members but how do we go about getting spots? I think 3 would be what we need .....

Tom, when you become an AACA member you will get an activity sign up sheet/card in with one of your monthly magazines. I can't remember which month it usually comes. You would need to sign up for spaces and mail that in before some deadline I believe in August. You would not know which field your spaces will be in until they mail you your stickers, etc. If you are not happy with the space location, you can request a space location change for the following year. Another option you would have that does not require joining the AACA would be to find someone willing to lease you some of their spaces. This is frowned upon by the AACA but I know many folks who do this.

Thanks, John - don't you also have to show your AACA membership info if requested should one "use" someone else's spaces?

My 1st year back to Hershey in about 7 yrs (Tues-Fri) turned out better than hoped for:cool: Saw some old friends / missed some that were there:confused:...found some wished for parts (Reasonable) ie. correct ... Radio dial HAND, a Heart shaped Wiper Motor in desent chrome finish (needs a Speed Control)...a pair of working Horns w/brackets & a deal on chrome nut covers to dress up my flathead V8:rolleyes:...a pair of polished stainless rear Bumper Brackets( judges wont like this but I will) :D The only thing on my wish list now is that darn glove box clock that sellers want Gold for:( Lifes a beach in the Golden years without alot of spenable Gold. Was hopeing to see other 36 Cabriolets All in All a good trip.

Don't ask don't tell. If you don't have a commercial sign up, It doesn't matter who owns the parts that are being sold. Lots of people get blocks of spaces so they can all be together, not all are members. Personally I prefer to be a member. It's not expensive.

Had a good time this year, we did not get lost driving to Hershey or back and forth to motel. Here is Don and I over at Ken's of CT. Good to meet Ken and look at all the pumps and distributors. ( I am behind camera )
