Hershey report

I have been to Iola a number of times and Hershey two times in the last 4 years. Iola is big and hilly, but Hershey is at least 2 1/2 to 3 times larger in my estimation. It is kind of hard to compare them. I can cover Iola in about 1 1/2 days, but it takes at least 4 days to hurriedly cover Hershey.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as Rusty.
The really nice thing about Hershey is it's so much older parts that we are looking for and not a mix of hot rod parts and flea market stuff.

I've taken photos of pretty much every Model A here, but can't download them before Monday when I'll be back home. Prices are rather high, and there's a 1931 Deluxe Phaeton in Washington blue for $55K for sale.

there was a nice 29 Phaeton in the green field for 12,500 Very nice car the top looked new!

First Hershey where I found an abundance of Model A parts that I want and needed. Many NOS and lots of rare accesories. . The prices seem to be more realistic this year. Maybe they want to make table fees before the rain ( lol ). I am truly impressed. Wayne

I saw a lot of what Wick saw but a shortage of tin (except fenders). I could not find the panels/ strips over the doors on my Town Sedan. Most prices were kinda high. One optimist tried selling me a rusty, frozen dist. "core" for $35. On the + side, I met some nice people and made a couple of good contacts. I did run across an original 2X2 manifold for the three bolt Strombergs $170. Be back Friday!

Sold a rebuilt trans first thing this am. buyers here today I did see the over the door panels on Tuesday. only 1 pair. Will go out walking shortly and let the honor system take over a bit. There are lot's of nos parts here. Found a ford script windshield wiper motor for a T. it was a Acc.
Pretty day!

Was there any decent rumble lids there for a '29 coupe? and if so, what kind of prices were they getting? I need one.

Found a nice black radiator cover for my pickup for a reasonable price. Saw tons of chrome ones but not many black ones, but found one at the end of the day! Next on my list is a pair of black headlight buckets for the truck. Prices seem good and people are willing to deal. One thing I couldn't find is a passenger side rain gutter for my buddies 30 coupe. Since this is my first trip I have to say it far exceeded my expectations! It's mind boggling!!

Another pretty day here! Let's see the weather people get tomorrow wrong also!

Most Thursdays a lot of vendors leave. Not this time...a few have left, but tonight no one is packing up. Around 90% are still here!
The Car coral has about 15 model A's in it. Some of the food vendors were still open at 7:30 with good traffic.

I am staying at the holiday inn in Harrisburg 200.00 a night. will be there Friday night around 8:30. will most likely be in bar drinking a cold one. also I am looking for either a tillason carb or a zenth for my 1928 ford sedan I am coming from Greenville, ohio

I am in a decently clean super six motel 20 minutes from the flea market for $85 a night includes one of those crummy breakfasts.

I am at the Fairfield Inn in New Cumberland. A bit of a hike, but the only hotel room I could find where I could use hotel points to get a free room.

Nice weather this morning, calm. People with carts walking around.Looks like everyone is setting up!

Our first Hershey and not our last. Pam and I had a great time picking up rear fenders, bumpers and supports. :)
