Hershey Flooding

I too hope all in flood areas are well!! I hear Hershey park is under water or was. The park zoo lost two animals to the fast rising water, some roadways around the park are severely buckled. The traffic control last year was a nightmare, the morons were letting the right lane turn left into the parkinglots ahead of and in front of the cars in the left turn lane, causing tremendous bumper to bumper issues for hours. Only took an hour to get from frederick to within 3 miles and two more hours to make it to park. This should prove to be interesting to say the least. Those attending the daily parking, leave damn early and take a Valium, it may be ugly!!!!!!!

Oh, just heard they are to open all 25 floodgates near the park, don't know it it makes things better or worse......

For those who still don't believe global warming is changing the climate and weather patterns need to get with the program. These weather events especially, have been progressively worse every year. Bad ****!!!

The AACA Forum has some vedios of the flood water around the show area, the HAMB has first hand reports. That Treatment Plant had a 24 Million dollar upgrade not long ago, all under water now.

Ship all the water you got to us in Texas we need it bad. Damn your wet and we are burning up here and have thousands of acres on fire now. Damn the luck!

I'm not going to get into the science of this but I believe the rain is the cause of a tropical storm.....which have been going on for thousands of years.....its called nature. It is terribly unfortunate and I hope everyone is safe. These natural disasters happpen and as people we will combine our efforts and get through these though times, stonger and better than before.

Over on the mtfca site theres one post...the Pizza Hut in Hummelstown the water was up to the eves of the roof yesterday.

The climate has been going through cycles for millions of years, ( heard of the ice age? It was in our science books) and will continue to do so, and there is nothing that man can do to change it.

Sure there is, deplete the ozone layer....That is what will be in the futures history books, and they will wonder why we were so close minded....

Exactly. To those who are freaking out about what the Nightly News tries to scare you with, sit back, take a deep breath, and think about this.

Catastrophies have always happened, and they always will, through out all of history and there's not a thing man can do about it. It's all in God's hands.

Pardon me while I go fire up the Model A and try to leave me a big ole 'carbon footprint' over Illinois. (Don't you just love those catchy phrases who thinks this stuff up??)

LOL! I love it! Keep on driving that model A Jeff!

Funny thing, never meant to hijack the thread, and I'm not 'freaking out', but it makes no difference when I'm wrong with G.W. But is sure as heck does when the rest of you are. :)

There may be little doubt that we might be warming be up. However, I read where the temperature of all the planets in the solar system are up. Personally I think it's just Al Gore's rising star. A way to keep his name in front of the public. The Earth has never been in "Stasis", our climate has always been changing. From cold to warm and a back again. We had the good luck to grow up in a short period when the climate was fairly stable and we think it should always be that way.
