Have another question about Model T trucks. What is the difference between the T and TT trucks?

Thanks

The TT is built much heavier. The rear axle is of the worm and ring desgin, basically a giant steel screw that will turn the large brass ring gear. The wheels in the rear are larger, heavier as well. The TT stood for Ton Truck. They also move slower than the car. The front axle, front wheels, engine, radiator, wiring, headlights, and gas tank are the same, the rest is basically different.

The rear spring while still transverse was split in the center, it is wider and uses different mounting brackets and shackles. The parking brake drums are larger. The cam on the parking brake cross shaft is taller because of the deeper frame. The later TT front spring has more leafs so the mounting bracket has longer threaded ends to hold the clamp.

I had a T back in the 50's (yes a couple of years ago). But while in the army my dear old Dad sold it for $20. So from then on it was A's. But may have an opportunity to get a T again.
