Henry Ford Bio on CNBC right now. Another replay at 1am tonight. Sure they'll be showing it again.

Good! Maybe there will be some vintage footage of the factories and the assembly line. I never get tired of the T's and A's coming down the crude line. Ha, ha, state
of the art back in the day.

I enjoyed this flick last night, and was really surprised to learn that there were 500 of the 1903 model A's made. I had only thought that a dozen or so were ever produced. I learn something everyday.

While I didn't watch this last night, I've seen it before and it's pretty good.

The A & E biography on Henry Ford is pretty good too. You can watch it online over at the Biography channel's website.

The public and media still cling to the idea that Henry invented the assembly line and the assembly line system (logistics). He got it from the meat producers, and he should be given great credit for making the science of manufacturing on the assembly line writ large.

My 5th grade textbook said he invented the car. Some people probably still believe that.

I did not know that Edsel's wife had threatened to sell her shares if Henry didn't step down in favor of HFII.

Was that the original "kitchen sink" engine?
