Ford flathead 8ba. Can!t decide to buy achevy dizzy from Bubbas or go with the petronix electric. Would be thankful for any opinions.

I have a converted Chevy dist. on my 3-5/16" X 4" 8BA done by Charlie NY and set up by Bubba. Very satisfied. Both guys do great work.

have a Chevy dist. in my 8ba in a '47 tudor. Set up by Chas./N.Y. runs good. Warmed up engine.

I been running a Pertronix for 7 yrs. I guess it is a personal choice. I don't think I could bring myself to put a Chevy part on my Ford.

I've taken alot of flak over that Cecil, I guess if I ever switch to 12 volt I will probably do something different.

Reply to Jack E /NJ I've been told that if you do anything to your 8ba change the dizzy to a more modern setup. Thanks for your help. billwhite.

i put mopar dizzy in my merc engine does great a little shames cause its not ford

Chevy one is best choice many variables in advance curve and vacuum can are available.You can find parts at a bus stop. Can be points or a conversion nice small cap pre "hei" the list goes on and on.A few other dizzies will work but you make the choice.

I have some Chevy dists converted to 8ba in stock...with or
without the can. I'm sure Jim 'Bubba' does too.
