Help with '34 cabriolet wiper motor install

I would appreciate any information on the installation of the wiper motor and the associated fittings on a 1934 cabriolet. One of the questions is the placement of a grommet (part#40-761370) in the mounting and is anyone aware of a source for this item. It also appears that the wiper shaft extends out from the face of the windshield frame excessively when the lugs on either side of the wiper motor are engaged with the header trim piece. An explanation with a detail photo of the shaft at the outside of the windshield frame and the correct length of the protrusion of the shaft would be of great help.

As a follow up to my request above, can anyone provide the dimensions of the grommet(part#40761370) for the wiper motor mounting on the 1933/34 cabriolets. There is a good possibility to have them made.
