I would like to have some pictures and or dimensions of the wood header for a 30-31 Tudor or Pickup. I am replacing the one in my Pickup but it is a non original incorrect piece of junk made from soft wood. I am going to make on out of hardwood and would like to get it as close to original design as I can.:D

Thank You

Because of the compound curves, etc. it would be difficult at best to measure. Several years ago a 1930 Pickup I was restoring had a home made header made from soft construction lumber. I made a header from hardwood using a rotted original that had enough good area on one end or the other to obtain dimensions from. Today I'm doing another 1930 Pickup. I bought a Classic header as there is no way I am spending that much time making one compared to the repro cost.

Suggest obtaining a header from Classic Wood Products. I have purchased several wood sets and all have fit well. The header is complicated to fabricate. Just a suggestion you may want to consider.

my header on the 30 pickup is three eights higher than the header cover . Is this a problem ?

Likely.

I have not found the commercially reproduced 47235B Roof Rails made correctly. I would suggest you measure your Roof Rail to see if it measures to the factory dimensions. In the front, the vertical measurement should be 2-55/64" (2.879") and the back vertical height should be 3-7/8" (3.219")
