Help me identify my Dad's Model A

I just received a photo of my dad's Model A and being new to the hobby I can't identify it and was hoping someone with a whole lot more knowledge then I might be able to help. This is the only photo that I have.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Looks like a 31 tudor sedan standard. Look at the fire wall, see if there is a indent where the gas shut off valve is located. If it is it's a late 31.

The cowl design makes it obvious that it is not a 28 or 29. But what distinguishes it as a 31 and not a 30?

Thanks Chris, for explaining how you determined the year, I would have missed that detail.

Jim, all that remains of that car is this photograph, so checking anything is impossible :)

Splash shield was attached to the fenders on the 30's. 1931 had a solid splash shield. On Model change they usually carried over the old parts onto the new model till Ford ran out.

Too bad this forum doesn't have a better system for attaching pictures or you could have enlarged it to get more detail.
