Help Me ID These Spindles

Hello,
Found this spindle set and wanted help to ID year. Because of the "square back" suspect 42-48, but really don't know.

Anybody have an idea of what year these are?

They look like '42-'48 to me, but the RH spindle would have to have been cut to eliminate the hole for the steering rod. Looks like they were modifiying them for '32-'36 steering.

42-48 spindles. The right side is missing the extra hole for the cross steer drag link. In the photo there is an accessory arm( U shaped) that mounts to the left spindle so it can be used with the 32-34 steering box.

Thank you for your help. Got a good deal, bit thought maybe I had bought some chevy parts! I am building a 29 Model AV-8 roadster, will these fit my stock front axle?

They will fit the axle, but unlike with Model A king pins you will place the thrust washer at the bottom of the axle. The steering arm will work but it will give unequal steering. The hole for the drag link rod end is centered between the mounting holes; if you look at a Ford steering arm say from a '32-'34 you will see that it "leads" the center-line of the axle by 3/4" (maybe more?). The reason it is in front of the c/l is so that a 90* angle will be formed at the intersection of the arm and the drag link. That geometry will give equal steering both right and left. The hot rod arm will work, but some don't like them for the reason stated.
