i need help removing doors on a 1939 ford pickup they are rusted shut and wont move and what about the running boards the fl;at head screws are a pain

Jermey,

The hinge pins probably won't come out of the doors easily without a bunch of penetrating oil, heat and force. I am assuming you are wanting to part out the truck and sell the doors. My advice is to get that truck near a shop or garage where you can access the tools needed to do the job properly. Do not cut the door hinges apart. Take your time and don't get in a hurry. After 73 years those hinge pins aren't gonna want to move.

As for the bolts that fasten the running boards to the frame and the fenders, you can carefully cut them with a die grinder or similar cut off wheel. Should be no problems there.

Good luck

well since im about 3 mile from any power lol i guess i need a little generator or wait til pond drys up a bit and maybe i can get my jeep threw but ive got omost all the fenders off and bumpers and grill with out any power i guess ill just keep tryen and take my time ive got a bunch of pb buster know anything better

Some of these guys have tried a mixture of 50% acetone and 50% automatic trans fluid. It would be nice if you could drag it up to your house.

On my 41 pickup, I inserted a Sawzall, using a metal cutting blade between the frame & the running board; It cut neatly thru the bolts without hurting the running boards OR the frame!
