Help Finding Shop work Stool / Chair !!

Well Mike, I took my camera in to the garage to show you just how clean it is / Now I lost the Camera. WOOOOOOOOOOOA

If you google dentist stool you'll see all kinds of interesting devices. I have a used one like on the left in this photo.

The chair shipped UPS, arrived yesterday in two separate boxes, 7 days from order, coast to coast free shipping. Manufactured and packed in Taiwan, to Global's specifications. Very simple assembly, good quality sturdy chair. The chair swivels 360º, raises & lowers with a single handle, tilts fore & aft with another, seat back height adjustable for initial setup, recline angle adjustable with a handle.

The wheels are hard plastic, may prove weak over time, but are standard replaceable chair casters. Seat & back appears to be leather as described, stitching appears good. Seat back riser has a non functional sleazy thin plastic cover, I may end up simply removing it for simplicity.

In use, difficult to climb aboard in either high or low position, as it rolls away while you climb up. Once aboard, very comfortable, but without ability to plant your feet firmly on the floor, not the easiest to navigate along the floor with the rollers. All this due simply to the hieght of the chair, which would be the same no matter what chair you buy. What would help a lot I think, is to buy the optional armrests, which I did not. My chair had the 360º foot rail, glad I got this rather than the 180º rail which may wind up out of position more often than not.

All in all, good service from Global, and as good as it gets for the price in a task chair. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 7 for utility, an 8 for quality*, and a 9 for value.

Quality*: Gone are the days of quality products as we knew it in our day. My rating of 8 is based on the quality standards common in today's marketplace.

I am in office furniture business go to liifurniture.com click on office master and look at some of there stools. I will do some horse trading with you I need complete set of shocks for a 33 coupe.
 
Thanks to Tim / Roadster5040, My new shop chair showed up last night 6Pm fedex knocked on door with a box / BIG BOX ( what the heck is it ) Forgot it was comming.
With Tims recommendations on what suppler to go with and his input we put together what I wanted & needed.
Today will be the test.
I will let you know how practical it is & how it works out.
 
Go to Goodwill for a couple bucks you can get an old office chair that's what I use around the shop. May have to modify to get the height you want but the price is right. Zeke

WOW what a difference the day in the shop was.
Tried to get Lee to give me supper in the shop but no dice :mad:
The other advantage is I now have to keep the floor clean:eek: so I can move the chair where I need it.
