Help! Coupe stuck in gear before the parade.

I have a 29 coupe that I rolled out of the garage by hand this morning. I pulled it out backwards and it was in gear so I went back up and pulled it into neutral and rolled it the rest of the way out. It now seems the gears are bound and I cannot get it to transmission it into third. I have rocked it in reverse, 1st, and second. Nothing is working! I have hours before it is leading a parade. Any ideas or suggestions.

Sounds like a worn ball on the end of the shift lever has allowed the transmission to get locked in two gears. Plan on removing the transmission top to check the Neutral position of the gears and for inspection of the shift forks and shift lever for excess clearance due to wear.
 
I once had a '64-1/2 Mustang 6 with a 4 speed that would get stuck in both 1st and reverse. Just had to work it out with the shift lever until it unlocked.
