As long as there is a heater thread going, I am going to post a question in here, rather than start a new post.
I have a 1935 Ford 1-1/2 ton truck, Model 51, recently purchased, not currently road worthy, but close.
It has a water heater that appears to be factory, but I have no way to compare or determine that. Mostly, I am puzzled by the hose routing.
The upper hose comes out of the heater core, and is fitted to a tee sitting on top of the right head. From there, the two hoses attached to the tee go to each water pump, each fitted with a fitting coming out the side. The water pumps are both cast with the fittings in them.
The lower hose comes out of the heater, and go to a tee, which is fitted to a pipe threaded into the right side lower block. From there, a hose goes to left side lower block, with a fitting going into the block, and a drain valve.
All of the hoses are typical 3/4" or so heater type hoses.
Is there anyone who can tell me why the hoses would be routed in such a manner? Has anybody ever seen anything similar?
