One of my F1's has been converted to 12volt and the original heater was discarded. I know I can purchased the original in a 12 volt but am looking for a smaller and lower cost option which will allow me to drive this one in the spring and fall here in the Great Lakes region. Has anyone had success in the area?

The earlier small import pickups, i.e. Datsun, Toyota, etc. had very nice small 12v heaters.. I know several "Rat Rodder" types that use these heaters with great success.
The old after market, 1930's, hot water heaters will set you back a lot of money, sometimes in excess of a $100.
