Hi Guy`s I have purchased a pair of bulkhead 2-port push on heater pipe fittings, Could someone please tell me how you fit the inside heater pipe on, do I have to braze a copper pipe onto the fitting then fit the heater pipe onto copper pipe...........Bri

If you bought the aluminum bulkhead fittings there are hose fittings that screw onto the bulkhead fittings for the heater hose. A word of caution on those aluminum fittings. They are very susceptable to electrolysis. If your car sits a lot be sure to use some good modern coolant and a radiator cap that has a "sacraficial anode" attached to it(Rad-Cap). The electrolysis will attack the anode and not the fittings.
I'm currently having to replace fittings and an aluminum intake manifold due from a car sitting for a long time and the electrolysis eating up the fittings and part of the manifold. Luckily I caught it before it dumped coolant into the motor. You don't have to worry about the intake on a flathead, but electrolysis will certainly plug up the radiator and heater core if left unchecked.

Thank you for reading, these are the parts I purchased. I was going to have the hose fitting on the firewall, but how do I fit the heater hoses on in the cab. The only way I could figure it was to braze a copper pipe inside the pipe fitting hole then fit the rubber heater hose onto that or is there a proper aftermarket item I need......

Put the hose fitting on the inside and you can buy female hose fittings that will go onto the threaded end. Some use an O ring to seal and some do not.

What type of heater are you using? Most hot water heaters have inlet and outlet pipes passing through the firewall that the hoses fit on.. ..B.

Im using an early art deco heater & fitting it in the middle of my 35 Ford truck so I will be taking the hoses across to the passenger side & thru the bulkhead . I thought it would give more leg room to the passenger.........

I have seen hot water heaters mounted in the middle, but the heater pipes also came through the firewall in the middle. My '35 truck had the heater mounted on the passenger side on the vertical portion of the firewall so passenger has room for his feet on the toeboard. I don't recall ever seeing an early heater with hoses routed inside, and being in the Great White North, I've seen a few! Good luck. ..B.

Thanks for your input B, I will for sure look at fitting the pipes directly thru the middle of the firewall .......Cheer`s Bri
