Heat & Sound Deadening

Any experience with the Eastwood heat and sound insulation product? A few reviews have some issue with dripping from the mats. Appreciate any comments.

No experience with the Eastwood product but also heard it "weeps" in the heat, no problem with the DYNAMAT but pricey. Didn't know about the Home Depot product.

I did get mine from Lowes and in the roofing dept. I also used a 4x8 piece that i cut in sections to double up for deadening.

I've used a product called "Roadkill" in two of my cars... Works great. Roadkill is identical to DYNAMAT, foil faced, tar like core that is self sticking and forms to the shape of the metal panels very well..
I found out about Roadkill from a man that has done a lot of upholstery work for me. I bought one box from him, sheets about 16" x 32".. I then went online looking for a source. Found out that sound system companies use the Roadkill in the speaker cabinets, etc. I ordered four cases, free shipping and half the cost of DYNAMAT, and/ or buying the product from the upholstery shop.
Be very careful using insulation products intended for heat ducts, etc. Most of these products tend to "bleed" asphalt/tar and/or the thin foam fails very quickly.
The DANAMAT/Roadkill products work great inside of doors, quarter panels, etc. You can cut the pieces to fit, insert same into the door after first un-pealing a couple of inches of the wax-paper covering the glue side. Sticking the sound deadening material to the upper part of the outer door skin, you can then reach up and grab the wax paper, slowly pulling it down as you press the mat to the door.. A good plastic roller helps to secure the mat to the metal panel.. The same procedure works very well on flat floor panels.
The nice thing about DYNAMAT & ROADKILL is that there is no waste, every piece can be used, no matter how small..

Bring that woodie to the 20th Woodies on the Wharf in Santa Cruz on the 21st.

I have found the after market original style felt cut carefully to cover fully works fine. I used the stick on roofing insulating material on my 442 and when I had to remove some to get at a few things found it to be a real PAI to get off. Other than that it worked fine. I didn't see much of a difference driving in hot whether, both get pretty warm! Maybe it would make the AC more efficient if you have it.
